Description

These Beef & Cheddar Biscuits are a quick and delicious snack or meal option featuring tender deli roast beef tossed in barbecue sauce, stacked with sharp cheddar cheese between fluffy biscuit layers, then baked to golden perfection. Perfect for game day, lunch, or a hearty appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuits (8-count)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200ºC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Beef: In a small bowl, toss the thinly sliced deli roast beef with ½ cup of barbecue sauce until all slices are evenly coated, infusing them with smoky, tangy flavor.
  3. Assemble Biscuits: Separate each biscuit into two layers. On the bottom half of each biscuit, place half a slice of cheddar cheese, then add a layer of the barbecue-coated roast beef. Top this with a full slice of cheddar cheese, then place the remaining biscuit layer on top. Pinch the edges of each biscuit to seal in the filling, creating a pocket.
  4. Arrange and Bake: Place the assembled biscuits on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up and golden brown.
  5. Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm for the best taste and cheese melt.

Notes

  • You can substitute barbecue sauce with your favorite steak sauce for a different flavor profile.
  • Use pepper jack or Swiss cheese for a variation in taste.
  • Ensure biscuits are well sealed to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
  • Serve with extra barbecue sauce or mustard on the side for dipping.
