Description

This Chocolate Strawberry Bouquet is a stunning and delicious arrangement of fresh strawberries dipped in vegan dark chocolate, perfect for gifting or special occasions. The strawberries are coated twice in rich melted chocolate, then artistically drizzled for an elegant finish before being wrapped into a beautiful bouquet.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 18-25 fresh strawberries
  • 250 g vegan dark chocolate (or vegan chocolate of choice)
  • Bamboo skewers (enough for each strawberry)
  • Crepe paper, baking paper, or wrapping paper (for bouquet wrapping)
  • Rubber band (to secure the bouquet)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit. Pat them dry completely using kitchen roll or a clean towel to remove all moisture.
  2. Skewer Strawberries: Carefully insert a bamboo skewer into the center of each dried strawberry, ensuring they are secure but not punctured through the top.
  3. Create Setting Stand: Use a piece of styrofoam or position a wire cooling rack over a large bowl to create a stand where the dipped strawberries can be placed upright while the chocolate sets.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Finely chop the vegan dark chocolate. Melt about two-thirds of it gently over a double boiler, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining third of chopped chocolate until smooth and glossy. Transfer the melted chocolate into a tall jar for easy dipping.
  5. First Chocolate Dip: Dip each skewered strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing it upright on your stand. Let this first coat set completely.
  6. Second Chocolate Dip: Repeat the dipping process with the set strawberries to apply a second, thicker chocolate coating. Place them back on the stand to set fully.
  7. Chocolate Drizzle: Spoon the remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag, cut a small tip off the end, and drizzle the chocolate decoratively over some of the strawberries. Allow the chocolate decoration to dry and set completely.
  8. Assemble Bouquet: Lay out your chosen paper on a flat surface and arrange the chocolate-coated strawberries on top. Gather the skewers together and secure them tightly with a rubber band. Wrap the paper around the skewers, covering as much as possible to create the look of a bouquet.
  9. Present Bouquet: Place the finished bouquet into a tall jar or vase to hold it upright. Your elegant Chocolate Strawberry Bouquet is now ready to enjoy or gift!

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere properly.
  • Use good quality vegan dark chocolate for the best flavor and smooth coating.
  • Allow ample time for chocolate to fully set between each dipping stage for a thick, even coating.
  • You can customize the bouquet by adding edible decorations or different colored vegan chocolates.
  • The skewers allow easy dipping and display but be cautious when eating to avoid the ends.
