Description

This Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy recipe is an easy, comforting slow-cooked dish perfect for busy days. Tender chicken breasts are cooked low and slow with diced onions and a flavorful homemade gravy made from cream of chicken soup and gravy mix. It’s a simple yet delicious meal that pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes or rice for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Vegetables

  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Gravy

  • 10.5 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  • â…“ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Prep Crock Pot: Spray the inside of the Crock Pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Layer Ingredients: Place the diced yellow onions evenly in the bottom of the Crock Pot. Arrange the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a single layer directly on top of the onions.
  3. Make Gravy: In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, 2 packets of chicken gravy mix, â…“ cup water, ground sage, black pepper, and parsley flakes until smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour and Cook: Pour the prepared gravy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the Crock Pot. Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 5 hours to allow flavors to meld and chicken to become tender.
  5. Shred and Serve: After 5 hours, remove the lid and stir the chicken and gravy mixture, breaking the chicken apart into shreds as you stir. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice for a complete and hearty meal.
