Description

A quick and delicious recipe featuring tender garlic Parmesan steak bites served over creamy mashed potatoes, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 pound steak (such as sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Mashed Potatoes

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and cook for 4-6 minutes until browned on all sides.
  2. Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Season and Melt Cheese: Stir in the butter, garlic powder, onion powder, Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese has melted and the steak bites are well coated.
  4. Boil Potatoes: Meanwhile, place the peeled and diced potatoes into salted boiling water. Boil until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
  5. Mash Potatoes: Mash the potatoes with the heavy cream, milk, and butter until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Plate the garlic Parmesan steak bites over the creamy mashed potatoes and enjoy this flavorful meal.

Notes

  • Use sirloin steak or any preferred cut suitable for quick cooking.
  • Make sure the skillet is hot before adding steak for better searing.
  • You can substitute Parmesan cheese with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
  • For creamier mashed potatoes, add more cream or butter as needed.
  • Adjust salt and pepper according to taste preferences.
