Scale
Chicken Mixture
- 1 rotisserie chicken, boned and shredded
- 1 (8-oz) container chive-and-onion cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 (4-oz) cans diced green chiles
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly spray a 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray to ensure the dip doesn’t stick while baking.
- Mix Cream Base: In a large bowl, combine the softened chive and onion cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add Main Ingredients: Fold in the shredded rotisserie chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chiles, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder. Mix thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Prepare to Bake: Spread the combined chicken and cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
Notes
- Using a rotisserie chicken saves time and adds great flavor, but you can use cooked shredded chicken breast if preferred.
- For extra spice, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetable sticks.
- To keep the dip warm longer, set your oven to the lowest temperature and place the dip inside after baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
