Ingredients
Scale
Beef Marinade
- 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Vegetables & Wrap Components
- 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed or lightly sautéed)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- ½ cup shredded cheese (optional, cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for added flavor)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this marinade evenly all over the flank steak. Let it marinate for at least 15 to 30 minutes, or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor penetration.
- Grill the Beef: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 4 to 5 minutes per side, adjusting the time to your preferred doneness. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. Then, slice it thinly against the grain.
- Prepare the Broccoli: Steam or lightly sauté the broccoli florets until they are tender but still retain a vibrant green color, approximately 3 to 4 minutes. This ensures they remain crisp and flavorful.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas flat on your workspace. Evenly distribute the grilled beef slices and broccoli over each tortilla. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if using, and drizzle with soy sauce and lemon juice for added flavor and brightness.
- Wrap and Serve: Fold the tortilla sides over the filling and roll tightly to form wraps. Serve immediately for best freshness, or pack them for a nutritious and portable meal.
Notes
- Marinating the steak overnight enhances the flavor and tenderness.
- You can substitute broccoli with other veggies like bell peppers or spinach if preferred.
- Using a grill pan is a great alternative if you don’t have an outdoor grill.
- For a low-carb option, substitute flour tortillas with lettuce wraps.
- Add a dash of hot sauce or your favorite dressing for extra kick.
