Ingredients
Scale
Marinade
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Main
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated to create a smooth marinade.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts in a resealable container or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to deeply infuse the chicken.
- Preheat the Grill: Prepare your grill for medium-high heat, ensuring the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Place them on the preheated grill. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even grilling. The chicken is done when it is no longer pink inside and an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC) is reached.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes to lock in the juices before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight or at least 4 hours.
- If you don’t have access to an outdoor grill, a grill pan on the stovetop can be used.
- Make sure to cook chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF for safety.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free soy sauce or tamari.
