Description

A comforting and flavorful Potsticker Noodle Bowl recipe that combines crispy potstickers with savory broth, tender noodles, and fresh vegetables. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Potstickers

  • 12 potstickers (store-bought or homemade)

Noodles and Broth

  • 8 ounces egg noodles (or any noodle of choice)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Aromatics and Vegetables

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Garnishes (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Sriracha or chili oil

Instructions

  1. Cook Potstickers: Cook the 12 potstickers according to the package instructions, typically pan-frying them until they become crispy and golden brown. Once cooked, set them aside to keep warm.
  2. Cook Noodles: Prepare the 8 ounces of egg noodles as per the package directions. Once cooked, drain them thoroughly and set aside.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until they release a fragrant aroma.
  4. Cook Vegetables: Add the sliced mushrooms and shredded carrots to the pot. Continue sautéing for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften and start to tender.
  5. Add Broth and Seasonings: Pour in 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Combine Noodles and Broth: Add the cooked noodles back into the pot with the broth and vegetables. Stir gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat the noodles through.
  7. Assemble Bowls: Divide the noodle and broth mixture evenly into 4 serving bowls. Top each bowl with the crispy potstickers, sliced green onions, and optional garnishes such as sesame seeds and fresh cilantro.
  8. Add Heat and Serve: For extra spice, drizzle sriracha or chili oil over each bowl as desired. Serve the potsticker noodle bowls hot and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute egg noodles with any noodles of your choice such as udon, ramen, or rice noodles.
  • For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth and vegetarian potstickers.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha or chili oil to your preferred spice level.
  • Store leftovers separately to keep potstickers crispy when reheating.
  • If potstickers are frozen and uncooked, you may need to adjust cooking time accordingly.
