Ingredients
Scale
For the Salmon Patties:
- 1 pound fresh or canned salmon (skinless, boneless)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
For the Yogurt Cucumber Dill Sauce:
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup finely diced cucumber
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving:
- Slider buns or mini brioche buns
- Lettuce or spinach
- Tomato slices (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon patties: In a large bowl, combine the salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, green onions, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Then, form the mixture into 6 to 8 small patties.
- Cook the patties: Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Make the yogurt cucumber dill sauce: In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Assemble the sliders: Lightly toast the slider buns if desired. Place a layer of lettuce or spinach on the bottom half of each bun, add a cooked salmon patty on top, then spoon a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce over the patty. Add a slice of tomato if using, and cover with the top bun.
- Serve: Serve the sliders warm with extra yogurt sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- You can use leftover cooked salmon for the patties to save time.
- The yogurt cucumber dill sauce doubles as a delicious dip or salad dressing.
- For an extra flavor kick, add a splash of hot sauce or some chopped capers to the salmon mixture.
