Description

This Spaghetti Stuffed Garlic Bread is a delightful twist on classic garlic bread, combining al dente spaghetti with seasoned ground beef and marinara sauce, all baked inside a crusty loaf topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a hearty main course that’s both comforting and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Bread and Butter Mix

  • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Spaghetti Filling

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook Spaghetti: Prepare the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Prepare Sauce Mixture: Stir marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Simmer for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
  4. Combine Spaghetti and Sauce: Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce mixture and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Prepare Bread: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread lengthwise and hollow out the center of both halves to create space for the filling.
  6. Brush Bread with Garlic Butter: Melt butter and mix with minced garlic. Brush this mixture inside the hollowed-out bread halves.
  7. Fill Bread: Spoon the spaghetti and meat mixture evenly into both bread halves.
  8. Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the filled bread.
  9. Bake: Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Finish and Serve: Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use your favorite pasta sauce to customize the flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick if desired.
  • You can prepare the stuffed bread ahead of time and bake just before serving.
