Ingredients
Scale
Bread and Butter Mix
- 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Spaghetti Filling
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook Spaghetti: Prepare the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Prepare Sauce Mixture: Stir marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Simmer for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
- Combine Spaghetti and Sauce: Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Prepare Bread: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread lengthwise and hollow out the center of both halves to create space for the filling.
- Brush Bread with Garlic Butter: Melt butter and mix with minced garlic. Brush this mixture inside the hollowed-out bread halves.
- Fill Bread: Spoon the spaghetti and meat mixture evenly into both bread halves.
- Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the filled bread.
- Bake: Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use your favorite pasta sauce to customize the flavor.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick if desired.
