Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup sugar
- 6 tbsp melted butter
Cream Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
Topping
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
- ¼ cup strawberry jam, melted
Instructions
- Make the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until the mixture is evenly moistened.
- Bake the Crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until it turns golden brown and fragrant. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Prepare the Cream Filling: Using a mixer, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Carefully fold in the whipped cream until the mixture is light and fluffy, ensuring not to deflate the whipped cream.
- Assemble the Pie: Spread the cream filling evenly over the cooled graham cracker crust. Arrange the halved fresh strawberries neatly on top of the cream layer for a beautiful presentation.
- Glaze the Strawberries: Brush the melted strawberry jam over the strawberries to give them a shiny, appetizing glaze that also adds a touch of extra sweetness.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the assembled pie for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to set fully. Once chilled, slice and serve this delightful Strawberries & Cream Pie.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
- Be gentle when folding in the whipped cream to keep the filling light and airy.
- This pie is best eaten within 2 days for optimal freshness.
- For a decorative touch, you can add a few whole strawberries on top before glazing.
- If strawberry jam is too thick to brush, warm it slightly to thin for easier glazing.
